Book a slot

Appointments only. It is the whole point of how we run — booking a slot is what stops you waiting and stops you being handed to whoever happens to be free. Weekday mornings usually have something open the same week; weekends fill about a fortnight ahead.

Yes, and you should. Every booking is with a named person, and if you have been before you will be offered the same stylist by default. If they are booked out we will tell you when they are next free rather than quietly moving you to someone else.

The price on the site is the starting price for that service. Anything that changes it — hair length, thickness, how much product a colour will take — is quoted at the consult before we start. The number you are told at the consult is the number at the counter.

Between three and five months for most people, less if you wash your hair daily or swim regularly. It grows out rather than washes out, so you will see a line at the roots before it fades. We will tell you at the consult whether we think it is worth it for your hair, and we quite often say it is not.

Always, and it is not optional. The trial is where the look, the timings and the final price are agreed, and it is much easier to change your mind at a trial than at seven in the morning on the day. We take one bridal booking per day so nothing is rushed.

Tell us more than four hours ahead and there is no charge. Inside four hours, or a no-show, and we ask for half the slot price — the slot is held for you and cannot be filled at short notice. Bridal bookings are handled separately and set out at the trial.

There is paid parking under Sattva House, entered from the side road. On weekends it fills by about eleven, so if you have a late-morning slot it is worth coming by rickshaw.

No. We do facials, clean-ups and general skin maintenance. Anything active or medical needs a dermatologist, and we will say so rather than treat it. It is not what a salon is for.
