About the studio
Juniper & Ash opened in 2017 above a bookshop off C.G. Road, with two chairs and a rule that has not changed since: one client, one stylist, one slot. We moved to the ground floor of Sattva House in 2021 and added skin treatments, but kept the rule.
Most salons in the city run on volume. Chairs turn over, clients get passed between whoever is free, and the bill at the end contains three things nobody asked for. That model works, and it is not the one we wanted to run.
So we are smaller and we book out further ahead. In exchange, you always know who you are seeing, how long you will be here, and what you are paying before you sit down.

How an appointment works

Pick a stylist and a slot
Choose who you want and when. You get the whole slot — we do not double-book chairs, so a 45-minute cut is 45 minutes with one person.

A five-minute consult first
Before anything starts, your stylist talks through what you want, what your hair will actually hold, and what it will cost. If those three do not line up, you hear it then, not after.

The appointment
Tea, a chair by the window, and no radio adverts. You are welcome to sit in silence — say so and nobody will make conversation.

Pay what you were quoted
The price you were told at the consult is the price at the counter. Aftercare advice is free and we will not push products at you on the way out.
Book a slot
Weekends fill about two weeks ahead, weekday mornings are usually open. Message us on WhatsApp and we will hold a slot for you.
